Patient-Reported Outcomes

Healing isn't complete when the patient leaves the hospital.  That's why the Michigan Trauma Quality Improvement Program (MTQIP) and Michigan Acute Care Surgery (MACS) offers patient-reported outcomes (PRO's) for participating hospitals.
PRO's measure a patient's experience after leaving the hospital to help healthcare providers improve the quality of care.  PRO's aim to measure and feedback what matters most to the patient, such as suffering, debility, financial burden and return to usual activities.
